Our Story
Hi, I’m S —the founder of Everyday Ready.
I created this platform out of a deep belief that preparedness is not just about survival—it’s about self-respect, care, and community. As a woman and queer-identifying person, I’ve often noticed how mainstream prepping culture tends to cater to a narrow audience: masculine, militarized, and fear-driven. It’s a world where tactical gear trumps emotional readiness, and where many of us simply don’t see ourselves reflected.
But emergencies don’t discriminate—and neither should the tools we use to navigate them.
Everyday Ready was born from a desire to change that. It’s a space designed specifically with women, LGBTQ+ folks, and gender-diverse communities in mind—people who are statistically more vulnerable in times of crisis and yet routinely left out of the conversation.
Whether it’s navigating public safety, climate disasters, political unrest, or simply walking home at night, preparedness means something different when your body or identity is perceived as a target. We carry different risks. We also carry different strengths.
This platform exists to meet those realities with resources that are:
💼 Practical – Curated tools and guides that meet real-world needs without the macho fluff.
🫂 Empowering – Content that centers bodily autonomy, emotional resilience, and collective care.
🌈 Inclusive – Language, imagery, and products that reflect us: women, queer folks, nonbinary people, and allies.
🔒 Safe – No fear-mongering. No conspiracy theories. Just grounded, thoughtful, evidence-based support.
Mission
Everyday Ready is on a mission to redefine emergency preparedness for women and LGBTQ+ communities.
We create inclusive, empowering resources and tools that support practical safety, emotional resilience, and self-reliance—without fear, shame, or exclusion. Our goal is to help people feel grounded and confident in uncertain times, while building a culture of care, not paranoia.
What we’re building
What We’re Building
Right now, Everyday Ready is focused on product-driven support—go-kits, digital checklists, and simple guides designed to help you take your first steps toward feeling prepared. But this is just the beginning. We’re working toward a larger ecosystem that includes:
• A digital hub for community and conversation
• Workshops, webinars, and local events
• Storytelling from marginalized voices in crisis situations
• Resources for mutual aid, political safety, and more
Let’s get ready, together.
If you’ve ever felt like emergency prep wasn’t “for you”—I get it. We are building this space for you.
